Evereden Kids Haircare Review: Is It Actually Clean? (2026)

Is Evereden kids haircare actually clean? Honest answer: mostly yes, with one asterisk. The good: the brand bans 2,000 ingredients, formulates to EU standards, and the kids haircare line is free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, and petrolatum. The asterisk: it is NOT fragrance-free. The ingredient list includes parfum, which by my house rules makes it a big kid product, not a baby or reactive skin product.

We use the leave-in detangling spray and brush set on my daughter's curls (currently 22 mo), and below is the full honest breakdown.

The lineup we've tried so far! The cloud body wash was a huge hit with my older two but if I'm honest it was too expensive for me to justify when they just wanted to spray it EVERYWHERE.

What we actually use

• The daily hero: the 4-in-1 leave-in detangling spray + brush set ($27). The spray detangles, moisturizes, and fights frizz with argan oil, shea, aloe, and hydrolyzed rice protein. The brush has been so great for us I ended up going back to get a second so I had one handy upstairs & downstairs. We use the detangler after bathtime and with a quick spritz of water in the morning to refresh her curls.

• The ones we added to try: the shampoo + conditioner set. Sulfate-free (so it cleans without stripping the curls she needs to keep moisture in) and silicone-free (so there's no buildup). Early days for us, but for all three kids it washes out clean, leaves their hair SUPER soft and the detangling after is noticeably easier.

One honest note: Evereden also makes kids and baby skincare but we haven't tried it, so I'm not reviewing it. This post is haircare only, because that's what my family actually uses.

Okay, but is it CLEAN clean? (you know I have to check)

You know my rule: trust seals and ingredient lists over adjectives. So here's the audit:

The legitimately good:

• The brand bans 2,000 ingredients from its formulas. For scale: the EU bans about 1,400 and the FDA bans roughly a dozen. They formulate to EU standards, which is the stricter bar.

• The kids haircare is free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, and petrolatum, it's vegan, and it's dermatologist-tested.

• The brand was built by a team of doctor moms, and their baby line — the fragrance-free stuff — carries the heavy-hitter seals I trust: EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, and the National Eczema Association seal.

The asterisk:

• The kids haircare is scented. The ingredient list includes Fragrance (Parfum), and it also lists limonene — a fragrance component that's a known allergen for sensitive skin. The berry scent is light and my kids love it, but "light" is not "none" and it's worth knowing about.

• Because it's scented, the kids haircare line is not EWG Verified the way their fragrance-free baby products are.

So where does it fit? Right inside the rule from my fragrance-free master list: babies, newborns, and reactive or eczema-prone kiddos get truly fragrance-free. This product is not for them. Older kids with chill skin can graduate to scented products if you like a little something. My curly girl is squarely in that second group, her skin has never blinked at it. If your kiddo is the reactive type, skip this one and stick to the fragrance-free aisle.

The bottom line

For big kids — especially curly-haired kids whose detangling routine is a daily event — Evereden's haircare is the cleanest option I've found that actually performs: EU-standard formulas, none of the usual suspects (sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates), a brush that works & travels well in the pool bag, and a brand whose credentials go deeper than a pretty label. It IS scented, so it stays out of the baby and eczema lanes. Used where it belongs, the leave-in and brush set has earned its spot in this house.

Is Evereden worth it? For us, yes — the leave-in spray and brush turned a twice-daily struggle into a routine, and the ingredient standards mean I'm not trading my clean rules for performance.
